Square Enix Tries To Lure Back Previous FFXIV Players

So, let's say you checked out Final Fantasy XIV once before but you weren't too impressed. Or, maybe you got sidetracked with other games.

If you've always wanted to give the MMORPG another shot, this offer is for you:

To celebrate over 4 million registered users, Square Enix is giving former players the chance to play again for free, but only for a limited time. You can play between February 27 and March 9 at 1 a.m. PDT entirely free of charge; you just need to have previously purchased and registered the game in question. Your account also needs to be inactive during this promotion; feel free to check your status at Square Enix's website .

This offer is good on all platforms (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC), so you should definitely check it out if you haven't in some time. If you're totally new, there's a 14-day free trial, if you're so inclined.

I would be playing this if I actually had more time to play video games.

Nevermind it, I wanna talk about FF Versus XIII. My mind is currently trying to work out who the audience for FFXV will be. Like, it's not the old fans and western RPG and action fans are leery of Japanese productions with Cloud style heroes so who will actually buy it?

If it's good? Me, and a lot of other people willing to give it a shot.

Some of my friends returned to it last night after being away for a while. I haven't been in since early December, but based on what my buddies are saying, I really gotta go try the gold saucer activities again. Apparently the chocobo racing is somewhat akin to a kart game, according to one of them. (He also gets overexcited from time to time)

The problem with this game is the making money. YOu dont get money by killing monsters, only quests and trying to sell stuff. But what if you don' craft or gather and mine? Even if you do you are not guaranteed to make anything at all.

I played for a year or so. Making money is so hard that I think it is designed to force people to buy money from gold sellers. You can see items like a simple heal potion sell for 1 million gold. What happens is someone goes and buy gold from a site, then they tell you to put a item up for sale for the amount you bought. Then you get your money and all is well.

The fact that this isnt stopped tells me that SE has something to do with it.

This game is pretty good though. The content of this game is insane. I went back and tried to play and was completely lost. hehe.

Anyways, Elder Scrolls Online is suppose to be free, other than the initial purchases, and I will end up playing that.

Easy. Do dungeons, get gear (they drop after every boss), then sell it.

Or level a crafting class. You can get one to 50 in an evening or two, easy. Nice little trick, hand in HQ leves.

I never run out of money and always have at least 2-3 million on me at any given time.

Heck, man… I bought a house! I can make 100k in about 10 minutes or less. And I usually do make about that each time I log in from sales.

If all of that is too boring, offer to take noobs through tough fights in the party finder and charge them gil to carry them. Plus, let them have all the drops. People love getting carried through dungeons.
