Lots of long-time survival/horror fans responded.
Capcom has announced that the recently released Resident Evil HD Remaster has broken the publisher's digital sales record. It's now the fastest-selling Capcom digital title in North America and Europe.
Furthermore, it set a PlayStation Network record by being the "biggest selling day-one digital title." We don't have exact numbers but these are impressive showings nonetheless. We've also heard that the game was the top-selling PS3 and PS4 title for January, according to Sony. Said producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi:
"It’s been great to see so many positive comments from fans that have enjoyed this new release. The team here at Capcom Japan have worked hard to bring the game to the latest generation of consoles and we are thrilled at this news on its performance."

Take note Capcom, this… You know what, nevermind. Logic is not allowed at Capcom.
And you know what they'll learn from this? That people must want even more action and less horror with worse controls than a game more than a decade old.
I've been playing this to death the past few weeks. After I finish my current run through I'll have my platinum. I put some serious time in when it originally came out on the Gamecube and getting even more fun now.
SE didn't learn a thing from all the cash we threw at them once they started to release games digitally. I doubt Capcom learns much from this.
yeah well i can honestly say i didn't see that coming the record bit i thought the game would do fine but this good i was a little surprised but a good surprised
happy gaming
Take note Capcom and start working on RE2 Remaster if you want to see your sales skyrocket. But honestly I think they too stupid to do that.
I'll just wait for a physical remaster collection of 1-3.
