Far Cry 4 Escape From Durgesh Prison: No Walk In The Park

Far Cry 4 might just be the best shooter of 2014.

And if you don't want it to end, mark your calendar: On January 13, 2015, Ubisoft will release the Escape from Durgesh Prison DLC. It will retail for $10 or, if you purchased the $30 Season Pass, it will arrive at no extra cost.

Escape from Durgesh Prison tasks you with escaping the prison in question, but there's a nasty twist: If you die, it's over. That's right, this expansion introduces a perma-death theme, so you had best practice! You can play it either solo or co-op; you'll need to find weapons and unlock valuable skills if you wish to emerge victorious:

"To ramp up the challenge, when players die they must start the mission over again and use the knowledge and skills they gained during their previous run through to help them reach their extraction point successfully."

This concept might be alien to younger gamers but back in the day, if you died, it always meant starting over. Remember when teens reacted to Mega Man ? Yeah, that was when you had legitimate reason to trash a controller or a whole console.
