Resident Evil Remake Takes Advantage Of More Polygons

To clarify, yes, there was a Resident Evil remake on the GameCube and we are getting another one next year.

The new effort will boast some impressive upgrades as well, as explained by producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi in a new video posted at the Capcom Unity blog .

For instance, certain scenes will boast polygonal environments in lieu of the game's standard practice of flat images and video files played in the background. They didn't choose to implement these new environments throughout the entire game because, as Hirabayashi says, they wanted to retain the original feel and tone. He was afraid it would "look a little soulless" if they did a complete polygonal overhaul.

The Resident Evil Remake will hit stores next year; it'll run at 1080p on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and all versions will feature 5.1 surround sound, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and both classic and modern control schemes.

It looks great and I am all for it, but why aren't they bundling this with Resident Evil Zero? I'd happily buy a HD collection with the 2 games on 1 disc. But buying this as a download… just doesn't appeal to me at all. Maybe if it goes on sale in 2016.

I hope there's a Resident Evil 2 and 3 remake those two are classics.

So long as there's a disk, I'm all for it. Still sad there wasn't a disk for RE4 HD.

I played it sooooo many times that I don't know if I want to have another go. Maybe if they will redo also RE0 and put it in the bundle for a decent price…
PS. I would buy RE2 remake day 1.

They should bundle RE0 and RE1 together and then remake RE2 and RE3 and bundle those two together… I think they would sell good that way
