If you wanted multiplayer in the Dragon Age franchise, you've got your wish.
Developer BioWare confirmed to IGN that the upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition will offer a cooperative multiplayer mode that supports up to four players.
It will be similar to the multiplayer component in Mass Effect 3 but they're saying it'll be "significantly deeper." The interesting part is that unlike a lot of RPGs where you team up, you won't need to spend a huge amount of time with the co-op multiplayer to enjoy it. BioWare is designing it so it can be enjoyed in 20-30-minute play sessions, which is good news.
We'll get three multiplayer campaigns and all of them will be ready to go at the game's launch. These campaigns will also be randomized so each session will be different. Unsurprisingly, BioWare will produce "lots of DLC" based on this multiplayer element, but it will come free of charge: "It's all free DLC for everyone," said producer Scylla Costa. And yes, you can spend real-world cash to speed things up, but Costa assures us that "nothing is behind a paywall."
Dragon Age: Inquisition is slated to arrive on November 18.

No thanks. Wouldn't most want to have people play with them through their actual campaign though?
Whatevs. I fear real world money items but it won't hurt my SP game.
Yes, I'd rather have friends play through the campaign with.
Yup, coop the story from beginning to end. Coop campaigns are always short and feel pointless, tacked on.
Agree with y'all. Campaign coop is the ultimate.
Co-op gameplay? Free DLC?
I haven't been following Inquisition too closely but that just confirmed ME3-style mictoransactions for me. It may be true that "nothing is behind a paywall" but I'll guarantee that the missions won't pay enough to get the best gear without grinding and without the random number generator screwing you over as far as unlocks go!

I lust hope i can play with the wifey on her pc.
I have so many comebacks to use to your comment.
Any chance it's a warm, and very large super computer with moving parts?
Funny how I finished Mass Effect 3, and I never even knew about the co-op in there. I really enjoyed the single player as it was.
It didn't need co-op, so I'm not sure Dragon Age needs it, either.
co-op will be good for this just like AC i like this direction we are going in
happy gaming
