If you're a fan of the comic books, you should definitely check out the show.
PlayStation's very first scripted TV show, "Powers," is coming very soon. As announced over at the PlayStation Blog , it will debut on March 10.
The series, created by Brian Michael Bendis, stars Sharlto Copley ("District 9") and will start with ten episodes; the first three will be available on March 10 while the remaining seven will arrive every Tuesday after that through April. The first episode will be free for everyone and the full season will be free for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
Here's a trailer if you're interested.
This doesn't look terrible to be honest. It is generic but I have got to say I love the actor from District 9.
Love it. Looks darker than the original comic, though the comic was plenty dark too. One guy blew his own head off with his ppowers to commit suicide. I wonder how many people will be upset that his partner is now black instead of white. Comic fans are notoriously touchy about that thing.
But, but… I grew up seeing Nick Fury as Mitt Romney with an eye patch. Then Marvel gave us Sam Jackson instead!!
Very true, man. The worst I've seen was when the cast MCD as Kingpin in Daredevil. The reactions were ignorant and sad. Especially, since he did a great job.
You mean David Hasselhof with an eye patch. Not correcting just how I always saw Fury. 😉
