A new report has been shared showing that the remake of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, is set to launch this summer on July 9. The project itself has become on of the worst kept secrets in gaming, but that is about to change soon.
The report comes from Insider Gaming, who announced that the remake, officially titled Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, is set to release this July after months of swirling rumors.
The game was supposedly set for a full reveal a couple days ago, but that was once more pushed back by Ubisoft. However, sources indicate that they will be showing it off next week instead. Media and content creators apparently also got a 30-minute preview of the game in preparation of its official reveal.
The game has been leaked so many times that Ubisoft teased the remake with a title card drop on their website in an article to their fans, but they never fully revealed the project aside from just the conformation that it exists.
Along with this, the game also had a slip on the Ubisoft Connect PC launcher where the remake was briefly advertised before being taken off shortly after, but eagle-eyed gamers caught it before Ubisoft had the chance to remove it. The advertisement showed a new look at protagonist Edward Kenway and is the first real look we’ve seen of the game up to this point.
Ubisoft should be finally revealing the game in the next week as all sources indicate to a major unveiling coming soon. The remake is certainly one of the more hyped projects from the studio at the moment, and this months-long saga of rumors and leaks is nearing an ending.
