Very Limited Edition of Owlboy Coming Later This Summer

Get your wallets out and ready your finding and buying skills. SOEDESCO is releasing a limited edition of Owlboy later this summer. And it’s very limited. If you happen to be a collector of hard to find things, this will definitely tickle your fancy.

Owlboy released in 2016 on the PC and it was just last month that PS4 players were able to play the game. Owlboy has a great story and artstyle. It’s even been compared to cartoons by Studio Ghibli. The gameplay include side scrolling, platforming, and includes a lot of exploration.

The limited edition is a physical copy of the game that also includes some goodies for the avid physical collector:

  • Owlboy base game for Nintendo Switch or PlayStation®4

  • Certificate of authenticity with a unique Limited Edition number

  • Original soundtrack, physical copy featuring the majestic Owlboy sounds

  • Owlboy notebook for logging all your adventures

  • Owlboy manual full of useful information about the game

  • Two pins, one of the Owlboy logo and one of main character Otus

  • Two metal coins inspired by the collectible ‘Buccanary coins’ in the game

  • Pin box to safely store your pins and coins

  • Sticker sheet with seventeen magnificent Owlboy stickers

Owlboy

The real kicker is that there will only be 6000 copies of this thing worldwide (for each platform, Switch and PS4). 6000 is not very much when you think about it, you’ll probably need to be quick.

I guess the real question is whether this will be worth it? They didn’t release a price so that’s something to consider. The regular digital version of the game is sitting in the PS Store for $24.99 right now. I think it will come down to how much it costs for most to decide if it’s worth the effort. Although this is admittedly a nice looking set.

The release date for this boxed edition is set for July 13th.

Is this something you think is worth it? Are you going to try and get this edition?
