Amazon Gives Minecraft: Story Mode An October 27 Date

Minecraft with a narrative-driven adventure?

Why sure, Telltale Games specializes in precisely that approach. We've known for a while that Minecraft: Story Mode would be coming to all major platforms, but we didn't have a release date until today.

It's still not official (no word from Telltale just yet) but according to Amazon , the story-oriented Minecraft is coming out on October 27 in North America. It seems the disc will include the first episode "and grants access to four more episodes as they become available." The cost is $30, so it makes sense that we receive all intended chapters.

Minecraft: Story Mode boasts an all-star cast, featuring comedians Patton Oswalt (who voices the protagonist) and Brian Posehn, along with performers Ashley Johnson ( The Last Of Us ), Corey Feldman and Martha Plimpton from "The Goonies" fame, Scott Porter ( Batman: Arkham Knight ), Billy West ("Futurama") and Paul Reubens (yep, Pee-Wee). Oswalt previously explained the quest as follows:

"Players will control protagonist Jesse throughout the season, as portrayed by actor Patton Oswalt. Jesse and his group of friends revere the legendary Order of the Stone; four adventurers who slayed an Ender Dragon."

Minecraft: Story Mode is set to launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Mac, Android and iOS. Interested?
