If you haven't yet played a Metro game, shame on you.
But you can rectify the situation come August. Deep Silver has announced that Metro Redux , the compilation that includes Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light , is headed to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on August 26. That's the North American date; it'll be available in Europe on the 29th.
Retailing for $50, Redux also features all previously released DLC for both titles, along with the crazy difficult Ranger Mode. These remastered editions will be sold separately across console and PC as downloads for $25 each, if you'd rather pick and choose. We even get "never-before-seen content" and a host of new gameplay features, and both games will run at an impressive 60 frames per second.
The developers have really done a good job with these overhauls. It's not just about cosmetic upgrades; we also receive the benefit of "advanced enemy AI, improved combat and stealth mechanics, superior weapon handling, and more responsive, intuitive controls." The visuals get a boost, too; as better lighting, dynamic weather and more details can be expected. This is what you expect from a special collection, right?

So freaking hyped to replay this game and its predecessor.
Already played Last Light but I'd like to play the first. Not spending much cash on all that though.
Black Friday it is then.
eh, i think the original is pass-worthy unless you're really desperate for games
should of released this next month, or early august at the latest.
end of august is just far too close to the big holiday rush.
and then they will come back whining, no were not doing anymore metro games because this did not sell well.
of course its not going to sell well when its going up against some of the industries biggest games for f*cks sake!
